Arrels del Vi: An enotouristic experience in Sant Martí d’Empúries
The days 23 and 24 May 2026, the Creuet park of Sant Martí d’Empúries will be the setting for a new edition of Arrels del Vi, one of the most outstanding events of the enotouristic calendar of the Costa Brava. This fair offers a unique experience that combines wine tasting, local gastronomy, cultural heritage and various activities in a privileged historical setting.
Wine tasting and local gastronomy
During the two days of the event, visitors will have the opportunity to taste a selection of the best wines of the DO Empordà and acquire them directly at cellar price. The entrance includes a Riedel glass, a 7 euro consumption voucher and an anchovy tapa from L’Escala, elements that complete the gastronomic experience of the fair.
Activities for all audiences
Beyond the wine tasting, Arrels del Vi offers a program of activities designed for all audiences. The Arrels Kids space will feature ceramics workshops for children by ceramist Ariadna Callavé, while the Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia – Empúries will propose guided tours to discover the Greco-Roman past of the territory.
Vertical tastings and guided experiences
The enogastronomic program also includes vertical tastings and guided experiences by renowned wineries of the DO Empordà. On Saturday, the Arché Pagès winery will propose a journey through the evolution of its Ull de Serp Garnacha, while on Sunday it will be the turn of Vinyes d’Olivardots and its Blanc de Gresa, in a tasting limited to 30 people.
Historical tasting “From Emporion to DO Empordà”
One of the highlights of the fair will be the tasting “From Emporion to DO Empordà”, led by the sommelier and archaeologist Romina Ribera. This tasting proposes a historical journey to understand the relationship between wine and the territory from antiquity to the present.
Schedule and consolidation of Sant Martí d’Empúries
With a schedule from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Arrels del Vi consolidates Sant Martí d’Empúries as a meeting point between wine, culture and landscape, reinforcing the identity of the DO Empordà as one of the most singular denominations of origin in the country.
